Elemental Alchemy - Upcoming Solo Show
I'm excited to share that my solo exhibition, Elemental Alchemy, is opening soon.
This new body of work marks a shift in my creative process. For these pieces I have moved away from my typical carefully thought out conceptual work and embraced a more intuitive, layered exploration through encaustic painting and assemblage. These pieces are raw, emotional, and tactile. They're made from beeswax, rusted metal, old wood, broken watch parts, and discarded objects - each holding its own forgotten history.
The show explores themes of time, purpose, perception, transformation, and revolution - turning what has been cast off into something meaningful. There's beauty in the broken, the worn, the unseen. That's the kind of alchemy I'm after.
Some pieces speak to a a personal grief and motherhood. Others carry quiet acts of resistance. They ask questions but don't offer answers - only layers, fragments, and feeling.
I hope you'll come experience it in person.
